ABOUT THE FILM:

PORTLAND - Frame by Frame Productions presents this modern day adaptation of a Cinderella theme. A young woman with a speech impairment finds herself trapped in an unhappy home away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  A chance encounter with a budding speech therapist from a nearby college ends with him taking her on as his client, which he needs to improve his grades in school, much to the objections of his current girlfriend.  Tensions mount beween our protagonist, Lucretia, and her rival, Rachel, over the tall , dark, and handsome Jonathan.   Will Lucretia's speech improve enough to help Jonathan's grades? How will Rachel react to his feelings towards his new client? The stakes are high and some lives will forever be changed.

A Woman For Our Times received Honorable Mention in the 2003 Hometown Video Festival. The short film features three original songs, a "Behind the Scenes" feature and a music video.  The movie made its public debut at Blanchet High School, Salem, Oregon in September 2002.
